Live-in Care London

by LinkNurse

What is live in care?

For those who are in need of assistance with their daily lives, live-in care is an important form of support.Providing 24-hour care and support directly to the home of an elderly relative or a person with disabilities is an excellent way to take care of your loved one. Family members can sometimes feel overwhelmed by the task of providing this kind of care to their loved ones, so having a live-in caregiver can be a wonderful way to assist with this kind of task.

The dynamic nature of live-in care is that it offers the highest level of individualised, tailored, and personalised support so that it meets the needs and preferences of the individual in need of support. This type of care allows them to remain in familiar surroundings, surrounded by familiar people and objects - something that is incredibly important when it comes to maintaining quality of life.

Live-in care vs. 24-hour care?

Live-in care involves an experienced caregiver providing assistance for an extended period of time, while 24-hour care means that the caregiver remains present throughout the day and night. For individuals who require regular support but not round-the-clock attention, live-in care is a wonderful solution. It provides the necessary help without being too intrusive.

LinkNurse's most popular live-in services

Dementia Live-in Care: Having this type of care is especially beneficial for people who are unable to live independently due to their dementia, as it can help them maintain their quality of life in their home while keeping them safe and comfortable at the same time.

Cancer Live-In Care: Provides assistance with day-to-day tasks, companionship, and emotional support. Services may include meal preparation, errand running, light housekeeping, bathing and dressing, and transportation.

Post-Operative Live In Care: Post-operative live-in care helps the patient recover from surgery as quickly and safely as possible. This type of care can be provided by family members or professional caregivers depending on the individual needs of the patient.

24-hour care typically involves a main live-in carer who resides with you and other assistants who may provide help during the night or day if the regular caregr needs help with activities such as lifting, transferring, etc.

Live-in care services provide comfort and companionship

Having a live-in carer may be a good option for those who have a medical condition that requires constant care, such as those who need assistance for activities of daily living and mobility aids, or for those who just would like to have someone dedicate their time to them and provide them with care.

Having a trained expert on hand to meet your needs is a comforting and reassuring feeling in addition to having the assurance that your needs will be handled because someone is there to offer you companionship and support, which is perfectly suited to the needs of family members and loved ones.
